Cities see themselves responsible not only in doing the traffic analytics, but in knowing what the limits of this planning and the underlying data are. Most data providers fail to provide details on their data and algorithms as well as on the uncertainty inherent in their data. Therefore, several German cities are moving away from data providers for the level of service analysis and plan to do the work internally even though this is significantly more expensive.
ROSY is neutral tool for the evaluation of the quality of traffic data. Rosy will receive data and check the consistency of different data sources. Rosy cures false data and harmonizes heterogenous data in 1 data format. The data is saved in the ROSY data base for further trend analytics.
